Pandora stared off into the distance, the sounds of her friends' bickering falling away.

She was having a vision.

This in itself wasn't unusual, being a seer as she was.

But the contents? Very strange.

"James!" Regulus' voice called, its quality hazy as they usually were in her daydreams.

James turned, his eyes brightened. Pandora thought it sweet, he always seemed happier when looking at Regulus.

"Hey, Reggie."

Regulus scrunched his nose at the nickname, not unfondly,

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out on a date to hogsmeade again?" He lowered his voice, "Maybe find some alone time?"

There was a seductive air to his words.

Pandora froze in her armchair.

They were together?

James agreed, they kissed.

The vision flashed forward.

Regulus and James were walking now, she couldn't make out where, she assumed somewhere in Hogsmeade.

The rain began to pour, neither of them had prepared for bad weather. They were freezing. Regulus was shaking badly.

Pandora frowned.

Regulus should remember to take a jacket. She doesn't want to get him to get sick, especially if he was trying to plan some...

Her brain didn't want to think the words 'alone time' in reference to someone who was practically her family.

"Regulus." She spoke up suddenly, tuning back into her surroundings.

She had cut someone off, nobody seemed to mind, they usually listened when she spoke.

"I have to warn you, you should bring a jacket. It's going to rain."

"Another vision?" Barty asked, his head resting in her brother's lap. Evan played with his hair idly.

She nodded, "The rain would ruin your date, I don't want you to get sick."

The words caused an uncomfortable silence. Regulus cleared his throat,

"My date?"

She frowned again. Had he not said date?

No, she was positive. He specifically used the words 'go out on a date again'. This implied there had been at least one prior.

"With Potter." She clarified.

Barty shot out of Evan's lap, staring at Regulus in disbelief,

"You never told me you're going out with Potter!"

Regulus' eyes went wide, "I didn't even know!" He shouted back, "It hasn't happened yet!"

"You like him?" Evan asked, eyebrow raised.

Regulus flushed scarlet, he shrugged, refusing to reply.

"Hmm... I suppose my eye has been growing stronger, the vision must have been further in the future than I expected." She shrugged, looking back to Regulus, "Enjoy your dates, but remember to bring a jacket, please."

Regulus' jaw dropped at the mention of dates, plural, and he quickly had to defend himself from Barty, who had launched across the common room at him.

Pandora stopped listening again, the song playing in her head was very good, she hummed along to it as her brother jumped up off the couch to help Reg.

Oh I certainly will give you all the credits, as although I did have some vague plans to make a plural-based DC fanfic eventually centered around one of the characters, I found it hard to find a targeting character to focus the main light on. The fact I do not have nearly any knowledge as I didn't really watch any of the movies or played any games or read any comics, an old friend gave me some insight from his understanding as he is a more seasoned fan and avid fanfic enjoyer.

Your idea gave me the push to actually take it and make do something of it even though my knowledge is rather limited to a few fanfics and my friend's descriptions, so the thanks Is to you. I hope you'd enjoy my work and perhaps we could collab in the future again for more ideas, but we will see about that lol.

I would however greatly appreciate getting any advice on characterization of specific characters, starting from tim himself specifically during his time as robin and whatever mentions and snippets of him prior to this role, all the way to characters like jason who I truly find the hardest "getting into the head of". Feel free to dm me for our Discord if you find it necessary, or just tumblr dms. Of course I will be doing my own research, but considering I'd like to start working before my motivation suddenly reach a crash, i don't believe i could read all comics involving him with fully sound mind and clear focus without losing my focus at some point, and some outside perspective could be very nice. Don't feel pressured for it though, I could manage myself without it too.

I hope to give a new insight, but of course this should go without saying every system exists and experience differently, so it might not seem accurate to the vision of some.

Tim Drake has Dissociative Identity Disorder AU

His alters’ purposes are Socialite, Assassin, & Robin.

- Tim has been dissociating since his parents started abandoning him. At some point, trauma-induced dissociation becomes so common that an alter develops to be present and help the body survive while the oldest alter (or “original”) cannot.

- Oddly enough, the Assassin (he/they) was the first alter to develop; though, originally they were nicknamed ‘Good Son’ because “Good sons aren’t seen or heard unless they’re needed, Timothy.” Tim’s mind was not equipped to handle feeling so abandoned even as his parents stood right in front of him. Tim would dissociate rather than cry or process; if he wasn’t to exist when unneeded, then he wouldn’t. Good Son trained in stealth to ensure the Drakes never saw him unless they had need of him. They’re the alter that perfected the system’s stealth to the point that not even the Dynamic Duo noticed their presence. Good Son developed into Assassin after training with Lady Shiva.

- Socialite (he/they) was next to develop. Where Good Son went unseen and unheard to please their parents, Socialite was created to do the exact opposite for the same result. Socialite was to recount evidence of his intellect like a show pony doing tricks but he “-musn’t boast, Timothy, it’s unbecoming!” Socialite was to allow any and all cheek-pinching regardless of consent because “She’s just an old lady, Timothy! I’m really so sorry madame-” Socialite was to learn every last rule of high society (spoken or unspoken), gather useful gossip for his mother, network and play nice with the snobby rich kids, and avoid the “riff-raff” whose differences outweighed their usefulness.

- Robin (he/she/they) was the last to develop, keeping the system’s body tethered to a consciousness when the others would dissociate from the horror of Gotham’s many atrocities. Robin handles the worst of the detective work for the same reason. They’re who Ra’s al Ghul would dub the Detective.

Just throwing this out here (I'm about to pass out so I'll check this in the morning) does anyone have any thoughts or feelings regarding stylised black features in anime or any cool black anime character designs to show me. I've been doing some looking around cus I wanna tighten up my bigb design more and it's kinda hard running into alot of designs that are just the same as the paler characters but with darker skin (like yoruichi) or have the wrong vibe (avdol you're very awesome but bigb does not have your rizz).

I will say I'm not a big fan of "Steven universe lips" if that makes sense. Not a critique just a taste thing. Personally more of a fan when fuller lips are expressed through colour instead, but that can also easily get read as hyper feminine so I'm. Shrugs.

Also hair is another issue. Asking for anime characters specifically cus animation-friendly black hair is kinda a mystery to me unless it's a buzz cut or smth. And I just don't really wanna give him the ekko cut either cus then I may as well draw the valorant dude and I think I'd rather be dead

New Transmission The fucking Scientific Instrument Class Pseudocons apparently developed what they're calling "Hetero Sapience" and are corrupting the brainmodules of the non-Pseudo 'cons around them by using annoying xenophilosophy words. Soundwave tells me they're 'Greek' and 'Latin' words, apparently. Cool, I guess? Anyway, if you see any SI Class 'cons causing... issues, just try your hardest to turn your brainmodule off before you start getting infected with their weird lingo, alongside all the other issues pertaining to letting the SI Pseudocons transmit data into your brainmodule in their own weird ways. Thundercracker, on a bet with Starscream, tried to get into an argument with one of them and his head literally exploded when it started talking about Alpha Trion's "Mythological Origins" in its weird dialect. He's mostly fine, CR Pods are working at 'peak' efficiency, but the facial reconstruction is apparently impossible due to some kind of corruption. I thought it was just some weird prank but there weren't even any scorch marks or anything. Just exploded. So yeah, just avoid optical contact and auditory contact to the best of your ability and you should be fine. Otherwise, try to force-shutdown your brainmodule if you can. Shockwave is working on a cure right now, mostly because I know he had something to do with this in the first place so he's going to be the one to fix it. He probably wanted a greater justification to do that weird data-transfer idea he mentioned previously. But it also explains the weird Thunderwing hypotheticals he's been asking me lately... Can I go one fucking cycle without someone trying to "Perfect Thunderwing's Work" or whatever other idiotic drivel that I keep finding our limited energon reserves siphoned into?? It's not even a Shockwave thing, it's like every damn Cybertronian these days thinks they have the "Missing piece of the puzzle" or whatever. In fact, Shockwave might be doing this as a weird threat against the other R&D 'cons to cement himself as the one and only Decepticon "Allowed" to have resources wasted on projects like that. Ugh, now that I think about it, that's probably a correct assumption and he's probably gonna expect me to thank him for it later. Ugh, and he's probably literally right. Ugh. At least his repairs both to himself and to his lab seem to be mostly complete so further research into the SI project should hopefully come along a little faster. Both Shockwave and Soundwave think the SIs could potentially be used as some kind of specialty weapon, but we'll have to see how they work on sparkless lifeforms, like biological lifeforms or xenomechanical lifeforms. The SIs don't seem to corrupt each other, but Shockwave keeps reaffirming that they're not "Sparkless Lifeforms" because they "were never lifeforms to begin with"... but I think he's trying to hide something. Usually Soundwave is the one to pick up on that kind of technological obfuscation, but he actually agreed with Shockwave and offered to send Ratbat to try to work out exactly what each "sapient" SI is now capable of on a personal level. We could have just had regular Cybertronians aboard to fill the role SIs fill. I would've preferred K Class to fill any role an SI could fill in all honesty!! But no, constructing cold wasn't enough, we just had to try to learn how to "Construct Frozen" and the "Absolute Zeroes" just had to be put on my ship. Whatever. I've probably said too much already. This was supposed to be a warning for my ship crew, but it's looking like it'll end up being transcribed on the golden disk as well so when this new Scientific Instruments of Destruction project backfires in some absurdly bombastic way there will at least be something remaining that says I was right. New Transmission Okay so I was right, but so was Shockwave and Soundwave. Or, well, they were right just enough to make sure the backfire is postponed for at least another handful of cycles. Ratbat is still in CR from the investigation, but the cure Shockwave developed seems to be effective and Thundercracker is out and aiding the repair effort. Shockwave is now in contact with one of the SIs digitally and the other few are... integrating due to the personal efforts of Soundwave. I suppose now would be pertinent to mention not all the SIs developed the "Hetero Sapience" condition, many of them are safe for interaction. Soundwave is also currently monitoring their presence, Ravage is tasked with the regular SIs and Laserbeak is tasked with the "Sapient" SIs. Shockwave probably knows exactly what caused this event but he is preoccupied with the one he no doubt is either indoctrinating or ruthlessly interrogating. Report to Soundwave if you see any suspicious behavior, he has been working very hard to ensure the SIs have their purpose clearly defined (And closely monitored). And, Starscream, stop trying to convince the SIs that you are the leader of this ship. Not only have the majority of your efforts been wasted on subsentient automata, the only one you have actually found who possesses the ability to truly listen to you immediately came to the bridge to complain about you. They were the first sapient SI I communicated with directly and it was because they felt the need to complain about you. I almost feel embarrassed for you. Come back to the bridge so you can apologize to it or so I can teach it how to laugh at you. It's practicing right now actually! This moment of chaos should hopefully be largely under control now, the actual "population" of Scientific Instrument Class Pseudocons was actually quite fewer than initially expected due to an indexing error incorrectly labeling certain shells as SI class. At the very least, we have some more specialty warriors because of it all. End of Transmission EOF
